Color Analysis Training

About the Training Course

The color analysis training pogram is designed in a way that allows you to effectively learn the theory, process and practice of Personal Color Analysis (PCA).

With my 8 years of experience as color analyst, I aim to equip you with knowledge, skills and tools to be able to identify your clients’ Seasons with confidence, and to advise them on their color palette application in real life, including clothing, cosmetics and hair color. I enrich the course with fundamentals of business strategy and marketing based on 20 years of my business experience, in order to help you build successful and sustainable career as a professional color analyst.

  • You receive four days of one-on-one in person training with me. I do not offer group trainings and I do not conduct online color analysis trainings.
  • The course includes 32 training hours in total.
  • The practical part involves draping of 5 models. I aim to find models of different Seasons whenever possible.
  • Your own Personal Color Analysis is also included, even if you have already had one from another analyst.
  • You receive ongoing access to exclusive analyst resources upon training completion.
  • Color analysis training is delivered in English (or in Polish if you are a Polish speaker).

STEP 1 EXPLORATION

Preliminary Meeting

If you are interested in becoming a color analyst, we start with scheduling a video call (via Zoom) to talk about your plans and ask any questions or concerns you have. I believe it is important to connect and chat (not just e-mail) at this early stage to find out if we are a good fit to work together. A video call is also an opportunity for me to get to know my potential student and for both of us to understand whether a career as a color consultant is right for you.

For more information or to register contact me at anna@perfectmoodboard.pl.

STEP 2 DECISION

Tuition
  • The cost of the color analysis training course is 14 000 PLN.
  • 4 – 6 weeks prior to training, I require a non-refundable deposit (payable via bank transfer) of 1 500 PLN to cover the cost of your pre-work materials, your neutral gray analyst coat, client cape and client headscarf.
  • The remaining balance of your tuition has to be paid via bank transfer no later than 3 days before your training starts.
  • Tuition fee does not include accommodation, transportation and meals.

STEP 3 PREPARATION

PCA Test Drapes
  • As soon as you make a deposit for your color analysis training, you must purchase a set of the NDU Colors Test Drapes directly from NDU Colors. Drapes are shipped to me so that we can use them at your training and you take them home with you after your training course. You are trained using your own set of Test Drapes so you can feel comfortable using them once you are home and begin your PCA business.
  • NDU Test Drapes are $3,000 (plus shipping and taxes).
  • NDU Test Drapes are approximately 45 cm x 85 cm. Test Drape set includes 4 Key drapes, 4 sets of True Season drapes and 8 sets of Neutral Season drapes.
  • Please note that I do not train using drapes from any other system.

Travel Logistics

Training location: Kocidlowska 3, 95-100 Zgierz, Poland

Transportation: If you choose to fly to your training, the closet airport is Lodz Wladyslaw Reymont Airport (LCJ; also called Lublinek), which is about 25-30 minutes from my studio. Uber and taxi are available to get you from the airport to your hotel, as well as from your hotel to my studio. I am currently unable to provide transportation to/from the airport and to/from hotel.

Alternative option is Warsaw Frederic Chopin International Airport (WAW; also called Okecie), which is located about 130 km from my studio. There is a train available from the Warsaw airport to Lodz, you may also consider renting a car at the airport.

Accommodation: You may choose to stay at any of the hotels in Lodz downtown and drive or get a taxi to my studio each day (approximately 20 – 30 minutes depending on traffic). If you prefer to stay within 3 to 8 minutes’ drive, there are a few cozy hotels in the 5 km radius I can recommend to you.

Pre-work

“The Munsell student color set”

A copy of “The Munsell student color set” is mailed to you so that you can study color theory and learn the concept of hue, value and chroma prior to your training.

STEP 5 SET UP AND SUPPLIES

Color palettes

During your color analysis training you see and work with the NDU color fans (large and small), swatchbooks and posters. You will be able to order them at NDU at wholesale pricing upon your training course completion.

Luxury Drapes

  • Luxury Drapes are optional, but may be purchased from NDU Colors at any point after you complete your training course. Luxury Drapes offer a wider color selection than the Test Drapes and can be used to demonstrate how a Season palette can be worn in real life.
  • Luxury sets include 15 colors per Season, including several fashion-neutral colors.
  • Luxury Drapes can not be used for seasonal color analysis instead of the NDU Test Drapes. Test Drapes are designed to test, while Luxury Drapes are designed to showcase the beauty and variety of each Season.
  • NDU Luxury Drapes are $3,600.

Makeup for 12 Seasons

  • Makeup helps your clients envision their Season and understand how it can be applied in their daily life in a practical way. Cosmetics for 12 Seasons are optional and can be purchased via Perfect Mood Board online store at any time.
  • Perfect Mood Board sets include a blush, a lipgloss, a selection of 3 – 5 lipsticks and neutral eyeshadows for each Season. Analyst Starter Kits are available if you wish to purchase a few essential items only.

Studio set up

You are provided with all the necessary guidelines to set up your color studio: how to choose neutral grey paint, optimal mirror dimensions, specification of full spectrum lighting, recommended supplies, etc.

STEP 6 CERTIFICATION

Certificate of Completion
  • Once you complete your four day color analysis training course, I require photos and commentary of your first 10 drapings for review and feedback. We discuss these photos and your findings to ensure that you’re on the right track and will be successful in your PCA ventures. You will receive more information and specific photo review guidelines at training.
  • You receive your Certificate of Completion after you successfully complete your 10 case studies (photo reviews). You are not officially certified as a Your Natural Design color analyst until this step is complete.
  • As a certified color consultant you are listed in the analyst directory on my website and you are able to join Chrysalis Colour analyst community.
